Music is an integral part of our worship life and has long been a hallmark of Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church. We believe that worship with the heart and mind can be expressed in a variety of cultural and generational ways through music. We offer a blended style of worship, including both contemporary praise music and traditional hymns, choir, hand bells, and soloists. Church attendees can expect to be treated to music that offers them moments of reflection as well as toe-tapping inspiration. We do this through multi-generational participation by individuals with a variety of musical backgrounds.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord for He is worthy to be praised!
Covenant Adult Choir
The Covenant Adult Choir is for anyone who loves to sing and has the ability to sing in a choral setting. Rehearsals are held twice a month on Sundays 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the sanctuary. The Adult Choir sings twice monthly from September through May and presents a Christmas and Palm Sunday Cantata each year.
Covenant Hand Bell Choir
The Covenant Hand Bell Choir is for those who have a great sense of rhythm! Rehearsals are held Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm in the Music Room. The Hand Bell Choir plays regularly, September through May, and for cantatas.
Covenant Music Team
The Covenant Music team consists of gifted vocalists and musicians. We have regularly scheduled rehearsals and lead worship weekly year round (auditions for this ministry are required).
The musical gifts of vocalists and instrumentalists are utilized and enjoyed throughout the year.
We have several gifted accompanists who help serve by playing selected hymns for our worship service and times accompany our soloists. If you are gifted in this way and would like to serve, please contact Shelley Ruby.
Kids Worship Singers
Kids Worship Singers sing for worship once a month. They will rehearse during the Kid’s Worship time periodically throughout the year. Children ages 4 through 4th grade are encouraged to participate.
