Loving our neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic
1 Peter 4: 10 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Even during a lock-down, there are still opportunities to steward the gifts God has given us in service. Covenant of Grace is supporting relief efforts in the community in a number of ways. Below, you will find a list of opportunities to support needs in our church and community at large. Participate on your own or with a group! Needs and opportunities will change as this crisis continues, check back for more opportunities in the weeks ahead!
Love 140 is a a partnership of churches, including Covenant of Grace, along Rt. 140 and Reisterstown Road collaboratively serving our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visit the Love140 website to connect with service opportunities or obtain assistance. COG is particularly encouraging support for Alpha Pregnancy Center and the Community Crisis Center (food bank). There’s something there for everyone! Contact Pastor Mark with any questions.
The COG deacons’ Mercy Needs Fund exists to help meet urgent material needs (food, rent, utilities, etc.) in the COG family and the local community (as able). During a time of increasing unemployment, supporting this ministry is more vital than ever. To donate, click here for online giving to the mercy needs fund, or send a check with “mercy needs” in the memo line.
