Herb has been the Senior Pastor of Covenant of Grace since its beginning in 1983. He earned a B.A. degree in Education from Gettysburg College, a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Westminster Theological Seminary. His wife, Shelley, is the Music Director at Covenant and they have three married sons and eight grandchildren.
John came to Covenant of Grace in 1998 after serving eight years as a hospital chaplain and two years as the pastor of a small church. He earned a B.S. degree in Pastoral Studies from Calvary University in 1983 and a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in 1995. His wife, Pam, works part-time in the office at Covenant and they have two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
Mark Samuel began serving at Covenant of Grace in October, 2018, after completing his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary, DC. During his studies, Mark also spent 10 years working in federal information technology and served five years as an elder of a church in Columbia, MD. In 2005 Mark graduated with a B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he met his wife Laura. They have three young children: Marian, Sofia, and Timothy.
Shelley has been the Music Director of Covenant of Grace since its beginning in 1983. She received her musical training from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, the University of Maryland and received graduate credit for handbell directing from Westminster Choir College in New Jersey. Additionally, for many years she played leading roles in professional musical theater in the Baltimore area. Her husband, Herb, is the Senior Pastor at Covenant and they have three married sons and eight grandchildren.
Jill has been a member of our staff since August, 2015. She received her degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College where she studied Secondary Education/Math and Christian Education. She and her husband Brendan have three children.
Margie has been a member of Covenant of Grace since 2004 and joined the office staff in 2016. She has been involved in the ESOL program for the past four years, volunteering in the advanced class. She holds a B.A. degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College. Margie and her husband , Brian, live in Eldersburg and have two children.
Teresita has been the Financial Secretary at Covenant of Grace for the past thirteen years. She and her husband Tom, who is a ruling elder, have been members at Covenant of Grace since its beginning in 1983. They have a son, a daughter, and five grandchildren.
Pam has been a member of Covenant of Grace since 1998. She earned a B.A. degree in Christian Education from Calvary University in 1984. She has previous experience working as a Preschool Director, Children’s Ministry Director and church office assistant. Her husband, John, is the Associate Pastor at Covenant and they have two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
